Duties Include: Dusting, pulling trash, mopping and washroom cleaning.

P/T General Operations Aide (Downtown)

Small not for profit organization seeks a part-time General Operations Aide to interact with visitors and provide information about its visitor center as well as keep the center clean, orderly and safe by performing the following duties:

• Welcomes and connects with every visitor.
• Responsible for signing visitors up for walking tours at entrance.
• Is responsible for filling in brochures.
• Maintains adequate flow of people through both exit and entrance of the center.
• Clicks visitors in for accurate capacity count.
• Greets people outside to inform people about Tribute walking tours and gallery information and to maintain crowd control.
• Ensures register area is organized.
• Presents oneself professionally and demonstrates clear communication with all visitors and fellow employees.
• Prepares visitor for antenna audio tour;
• Cleans bathrooms and replenishes supplies as needed
• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures; Replaces light bulbs.
• Cleans hallways, break rooms, elevators, stairways, and other work areas.
• Performs minor repairs as needed
• Dusts furniture and equipment.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
HS Diploma or equivalent; or up to six months related experience or training
Minor plumbing, electrical and repair experience preferred.

COMPETENCIES

Excellent customer service skills; enjoys initiating communication with museum guests and the public;

Flexibility required; must be available on all weekends;

Has ability to handle projects and work demands; demonstrates flexibility as needed;

While performing the duties of this job, individual is frequently required to stand for long periods of time and regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds.
